Why Acupuncture?

Acupuncture holds a unique fascination for me as it was one ofthe only things that aided my recovery from a long debilitating illness. This Illness Myalgic Encephalomyelitis (commonly referred to as M.E/Chronic Fatigue Syndrome) left me temporarily disabled and housebound. It was through Acupuncture that i found comfort from many of the symptoms of the illness, pain, fatigue, constant aching, and the ever-present headaches all were reduced over time. Although Acupuncture offered relief to me in my situation, it is not a cure for ME/CFS, but can help some people with a release from the symptoms.

Once I had been fortunate to to recover from the Illness, I decided to change my lifestyle and study this therapy to try to support others as Acupuncture had assisted me. From this understanding of how therapies can relieve the symptoms many people feel on a day-to-day basis, I began to study Acupuncture (Body and Auricular), Cupping, Gua Sha and Tui na (medical massage) , which I use to help relieve people of their pain, allowing them to lead fuller lives.

In many cases, these therapies compliment modern medical practices allowing for a dual approach to assist the body in the healing process.

If you require a positive, energetic and caring Acupuncture Therapist, please don’t hesitate to contact me.
